RUNWAY SHOULDERS ASPHALT PAVEMENT

Description : After the present shoulder asphalt pavement and stabilized material were cut and removed in accordance with the orginal project, the new main layer of crushed aggregate and mechanically stabilized layer were applied and compacted. On top of this, another layer of asphalt binder pavement, which is 8 cm thick was applied, too. Finally, a new impervious layer was applied on top of the asphalt binder layer and shoulder markings were completed.
